PSA nitrogen production (PSA nitrogen production for short) is a leading gas separation technology, using high quality imported carbon molecular sieve (CMS) as adsorbent, using pressure swing adsorption (PSA) principle at room temperature to separate air to produce high purity nitrogen. Oxygen and nitrogen gas molecules have different dispersion rates on the surface of the molecular sieve. Gas molecules with smaller diameter (O2) have a faster dispersion rate and more enter the micropores of the carbon molecular sieve, while gas molecules with larger diameter (N2) have a slower dispersion rate and fewer enter the micropores of the carbon molecular sieve. This selective adsorption difference between nitrogen and oxygen using carbon molecular sieve results in oxygen enrichment in the adsorption phase and nitrogen enrichment in the gas phase in a short time, so that oxygen and nitrogen are separated and gas phase enrichment nitrogen is obtained under PSA conditions.
