1. Principle

The nitrogen making machine uses high quality imported carbon molecular sieve (CMS) as adsorbent and adopts pressure swing adsorption principle (PSA) at normal temperature to separate air and produce high purity nitrogen. Two adsorption towers are usually used in parallel, and the imported pneumatic valve is controlled by an imported PLC to operate automatically, alternately perform pressure adsorption and decompression regeneration, complete the separation of nitrogen and oxygen, and obtain the required high purity nitrogen.

Working principle of pressure swing adsorption nitrogen production device

Air separation equipment pressure swing adsorption nitrogen (PSA nitrogen) is an advanced gas separation equipment, using high quality carbon molecular sieve (CMS) as the adsorbent, the principle of pressure swing adsorption (PSA) at normal temperature to separate air to produce high purity nitrogen.

The diffusion rates of oxygen and nitrogen on the surface of the molecular sieve are different. The gas molecule with smaller diameter (O2) has a faster diffusion rate and more enters the micropores of the carbon molecular sieve, while the molecule with larger diameter (N2) has a slower diffusion rate and less enters the micropores of the carbon molecular sieve. When compressed air passes through the carbon molecular sieve adsorption tower, oxygen is enriched in the adsorption phase and nitrogen is enriched in the gas phase, so that oxygen and nitrogen can be separated and nitrogen can be continuously produced under PSA conditions.
