How do I use a nitrogen generator?
a. Remove the sealing nut of the air outlet on the back of the instrument from the nitrogen generator (please keep it well for future self-testing of the instrument). Use an outer diameter Φ3 gas pipe to connect the self-tested hydrogen generator outlet to the hydrogen gas inlet of the chromatograph, tighten the nut, and the sealing must be good. Turn on the power switch and the instrument enters the working state.
b. When using the instrument, pay attention to whether the flow display is consistent with the gas consumption of the chromatograph. If the flow display exceeds the actual amount of the chromatograph, the machine should be shut down for leak detection. The method can be adjusted by referring to the fault causes and troubleshooting methods of the instrument in FIG. 2, and then can be used after passing the self-test method.
c. The pressure setting switch is inside the instrument, open the instrument housing, a toggle switch can be seen next to the pressure controller between the two filters, and the user can adjust it in H and L according to different requirements. H is 6Kg/cm2 (about 0.6MPa), L is 4Kg/cm2 (about 0.4MPa), and the pressure is set in L gear when the instrument is delivered.
d. The instrument is equipped with two filters, the first filter is equipped with color-changing silica gel, the second filter is equipped with molecular sieve. During use, check whether the silica gel in the filter is discolored through the observation window. If it is discolored, please replace or regenerate it immediately. The method is: unscrew the filter, then unscrew the filter cover, tighten the filter cover after replacing the silica gel, install the filter on the bottom seat, and check whether there is air leakage.
e. Recommendation: Replace the discolored silica gel three times and replace the molecular sieve once.
f. After the instrument is used for a period of time, the electrolyte will gradually decrease, and the electrolytic level should be replenalized in time when it is close to the lower limit, at this time, only two distilled water or deionized water can be added, and the nitrogen generator should not exceed the upper limit water level when adding liquid. (The concentration of potassium hydroxide used in the hydrogen generator is about 10%).
